About us: the travel app made by travellers
Trively comes from our own experiences and from the people closest to us: friends, family and travel companions. We are a small team that builds software and, above all, travels.
Our story: from backpack to app
For years we planned every trip by hand: endless tabs, a pile of guidebooks, packing lists that never matched and the usual “I probably forgot something”. Then came the surprises on the road: tours that were not worth it, outdated bus timetables and the kind of generic advice that is useless when you have a four-hour layover.
Talking to friends and family, we kept reaching the same conclusion: planning a trip should not be harder than enjoying it. We started writing down everything that actually worked and decided to turn it into an app that feels like a conversation between travellers, not a shop window: a tool made by travellers for travellers, born from the real needs of everyone who throws a backpack on and hits the road.
We did not design this app in an office. We designed it between train tickets, airports and dinners with travellers we had just met.
Why Trively exists
It was born from very common problems that anyone who travels recognises right away:
Reinventing planning
Every trip turned into hours of searching and open tabs. We wanted a single home for everything: itinerary, luggage and travel notes.
Advice that does not help
The internet has everything, but it is missing what matters: advice lived first-hand, tested and kept up to date by the people who travel.
Not knowing where to start
Arriving in a new city and wasting the first hours decides the rest of the trip. Trively gives you a clear plan from minute one.
Missing the best part of travel
It is not about ticking destinations off a list, it is about coming back with stories. We prioritise what is truly worth living.
The team
We are a small software development team, but everyone here is first of all a traveller. Before writing a single line of code, we test the feature on the ground: at an airport, in a market or queuing for a bus.
Engineering
We build the app while travelling: every feature is tested on a weak connection and with a half-packed suitcase.
Design
We design screens you can read with a coffee in hand and one thumb free.
Content & guides
We write the guides we wish we had found: direct, honest and in our own language.
